Online Anonymity Lets Users Get Nasty
Interesting article - I hadn't realized that Yahoo News had taken down their message boards in December because they didn't want a small group of users dominating the posts.

I don't like anonymity on weblogs because it forces a person not to think before saying, and it lacks a common curosity in writing.
With a signature to the piece, it is often inflamatory and plain stupid. weblogs should be a forum for opinions, free flow of ideas, and geniune concern about self and others.
I also disdain the use of profanity when commenting as well. American society lacks a certain level of common curosity that it once had. and at one time, I hoped the weblogs could raise the level up a notch or two. Profanity short circuits one's ability to fully communicate and express the idea in a true meaningful manner.
GREAT WEBSITE!
