The money is there.
The technology is ready.
Now all we need is the human race to catch up.
Perhaps pretty soon, we will see the launch (pun intended) of "Google Space?"

I don't know why, since I grew up on James Bond-type thrillers (or maybe that *is* why), Mission Impossible and Man from UNCLE, but I feel safer with exploration money coming from Google rather than from a country.
